Mutabaruka made his United
States debut on March 21, 1982, at the 'Cultural Reggae Festival' held on the UCLA campus.
Of this festival,the Los Angeles Herald Examiner wrote "By far, the standout solo
performer was Mutabaruka." Roger Steffens,
Bob Marley historian and founding editor of 'The Beat' magazine, did a 45 minute interview
of Muta on March 23, 1982. This video interview originally appeared
